DESCRIPTION

The Toro San Román 2016 was cropped from a generous vintage, which meant great balance in the grapes, good freshness, very fine tannins and less concentration. The wine has great aging potential; it’s not really a light wine (it’s Toro after all), and it has structure and good grip and a classical profile, still quite generously oaked and in need of some time in bottle. They used a small percentage of 500-liter barrels for the élevage of some plots. It should turn into a very classical García wine with a few years in bottle.

TASTING NOTES

Color: red
Nose: dark mature fruits like berry, cherry, plum, earth, leather and herb.
Palate: is very fruity, with black fruit and has an imposing structure, with sweet and ripe tannins.
