DESCRIPTION

The MACALLAN EDITION No.6 takes its inspiration from the breathtaking landscapes around our distillery and warehouses, where each and every cask of The Macallan is matured before being hand-selected for use by our expert whisky makers. It has been inspired by the natural world surrounding our distillery with so much to offer and enjoy; in particular the vibrant River Spey that borders our estate.

TASTING NOTES

The whisky itself has much to reveal. The antique brass natural colour derived from our casks hints to a richness of flavour awaiting you. Its aroma fills the room with fresh fruits, nutmeg, ginger, chocolate, toffee, and vanilla notes merged with oak. As you taste, you are rewarded with complex flavours of ripe plum, vibrant sweet oranges and cinnamon, developing into spicy fresh fruits with creamy chocolate followed by toasted oats at the finish.
